We’ll be holding our second KPTO meeting of the year this Wednesday in the school Library from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. The full agenda is available below, which includes these three important agenda items:

Walker Creek Meeting Wednesday for 6th Grade Parents

The 6th Grade teaching team is holding a Walker Creek information meeting Wednesday October 6th at 7p.m. in the MPR for current 6th grade parents. Information on Walker Creek will be provided as well as forms required for the trip. This is an important planning meeting, please try to attend. The trip is coming up quickly and we need all tuition checks in ASAP. Checks should be made payable to the Korematsu PTO.

KPTO Meeting This Wednesday in the Library

The first KPTO meeting of the year will be held this Wednesday in the library. Normally our meetings run from 7pm to 8:30pm (and often end earlier). But, I won’t lie to you: we’ll be discussing this years budget and it’s typically the longest topic of the year. In years past the budget meetings have sometimes gone until 9pm, as the annual budget is extremely important topic to get correct and approved by the membership. Your voice is of extreme importance to the KPTO and we encourage everyone to attend the meeting and participate in the discussions.

Reminder: KPTO Election Meeting Wednesday Night @7

As a reminder, we’ll be holding a special election meeting Wednesday night where we will be electing next year’s board members and celebrating the end of a great school year with some snacks and juice. It’ll last from 7:00 to 7:30 at the most, but is a critcal meeting. The board needs to conduct business over the summer and can’t do so without elected officials. Thanks very much to everyone who filled out the survey indicating thehy could come during thnis time slot!

The results of the poll are in and June 8th at 7:00PM was the most popular. So please join us on June 8th in the Korematsu Library for 20 minutes, where we’ll:

Hold elections for next year’s board members.
Eat some end-of-year celebratory cheese and crackers (donated)

The whole meeting should take no more than 20 minutes. Thanks for those that responded to the survey and said you could come at this spot. You’re welcome, of course (encouraged even), to come even if you didn’t participate in the survey.

Poll: Last KPTO Meeting / Elections

In order to elect our KPTO officers for next year, we need to achieve a quorum at a meeting of at least 10 people. As summer approaches this gets harder and harder to do, so I’ve set up a poll to see when people could attend a meeting for 20 minutes. The only purpose of this meeting would be to hold an election and to thank our out-going officers who have contributed greatly to our school’s programs and campus through their past involvement. Please click on the link below and select a time and date from the options you’d be willing to stop by the campus for 20 minutes to enable the KPTO board to continue to conduct business through the summer (believe it or not, we met 4 times last summer!) I’ll even bring crackers and cheese for the event!

KPTO Meeting Wednesday (Tonight) in the Library

The last KPTO meeting of the year will be held tonight. The Agenda is very short. The most important item on the agenda is the elections of officers for next year. Because of a high number of conflicts occurring this evening, getting the minimum 10 people to show up to vote might be difficult. Thus, even if you can’t attend the whole meeting but can spare 15 minutes from 7:00 to 7:15 at least, it would be highly beneficial if you could show up so we can vote on the KPTO officers for next year.

Thanks very much for a wonderful year, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Silent-Auction and Asian Pacific Festival on Friday. It’s going to be a fantastic event!
