Did you know that last year alone Nugget Markets gave our school $3,493? Let me repeat that because it’s amazing. $3,493! To put that in perspective, that’s likely enough to cover the cost of both the Explorit Classroom visits and the Crocker Art Ark classroom visits the KPTO is sponsoring for this school year!
As of December 1st, Nugget has changed their scrip card program — for the better. It’s easier to use and doesn’t require that you pre-load your cards with cash. It will now work like many other store savings programs where you simply scan your card as you make your purchases using whatever payment mechanism you’d prefer. Because Nugget is such an important part of our budget every year, it is very important that you switch to the new scrip card system as soon as possible. (Or, if you haven’t signed up yet and you shop at Nugget — even occasionally — now’s the perfect time to get started!)
Important notes:
- If you had a card before they should be sending you a new one.
- If you need a card or you need more than one, please pick one up from the KPTO room in the school office. (We’ve received 50 so far for you to use and they should be sending us another 200 shortly).
- Once you have a new card, you must register it online.
- Up to 4% of your purchases at Nugget go to our school!
Registering Your Card
Nugget’s website makes this so easy you don’t even need the instructions below! (But just in case, I’m going to give them to you anyway)
- Go to scrip.nuggetmarket.com.
- Click the “sign up now!” link (or login if you already have an account).
- Enter the card numbers for every card used in your family. We may get a greater percentage when you combine cards together! (So create just one account for your entire household.)
- Select “Korematsu-PTO” as the Beneficiary.
That’s It! It’s quite simple! Thanks so much for helping our school!
